Besides sa, the notes taken are sudha ri, sadharana ga, sudha ma, sudha dha
and kakali ni. The raga chaya swars are ri, ma and ni and they are
also kampita swaras. This raga offers limited scope for expansion.
Sometimes the pratimadhyama is also used in this raga as a
bhashanga note. Compositions in this raga begin on the note ni or sa.
